SGS Membership Renewal
If you’re already a SGS member, don’t forget to renew your annual SGS dues today. Dues are paid on an annual basis and are non-refundable. Membership extends from Jan. 1 – Dec. 31. If you have CME and/or employee benefit funds, we encourage you to use those resources to cover your annual membership dues.
Membership Categories
We have different levels of membership to review. Find the level that is the right fit for you.
Active Membership – $300
To be eligible as an Active Member, a person shall have been certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and must be in practice in the State of Washington.
Candidate Membership – $300
To be eligible as a Candidate Member, a person shall have satisfactorily completed the written portion of the examination for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and must be in practice in the State of Washington.
Affiliate Physician Membership – $300
Affiliate Membership is available for healthcare professionals who practice with or belong to a practice associated with an active fellow, such as a physician who practices OB/GYN who has not sought ABOG certification, a physician of a specialty other than Ob/Gyn. Affiliate Membership include all rights and privileges of Active Membership, except voting.
Affiliate Non Physician Membership – $250
Affiliate membership is available for all mid-level healthcare professionals: RN, a nurse practitioner (ARNP), a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), a Licensed Midwife (LM), a Physician Assistant (PA-C), a Registered Nurse (RN), and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or reproductive scientists. Affiliate Membership includes all rights and privileges of Active Membership, except voting.
Senior Level Membership – $200
A previous Active member who remains in active practice and whose license to practice medicine is valid and unrestricted after having engaged in the practice of gynecology for a period of 20 years, and who has been an active member of the Seattle GYN Society for twenty years or more. The Senior Level includes all rights and privileges of Active Membership.
New! Junior Physician Membership – $250
To be eligible as a Junior Physician Member, a person shall have satisfactorily completed the written portion of the examination for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and must be in practice in the State of Washington. The member must be in their first two years of practice outside of training. You are eligible for Junior Membership for two years.
Area Membership – $100
Area Membership is established for those practicing outside of King, Pierce and Snohomish counties who find it difficult to attend dinner meetings.
In-Training Physician Membership – $100
In-training membership is available for obstetrics and gynecology residents or fellows during their education program. In-training Membership includes all rights and privileges of Active Membership, except voting.
Life Member | Emeritus
An OB GYN physician that has been active member of the Seattle GYN Society who has now retired from practice. A Life Member does not pay any dues and will receive a discount to the Annual Fall Assembly. A Life Member is welcome to attend the quarterly Dinner Lectures with a $50 payment to cover the dinner expense.
Tax Deductible Information:
In most cases, a portion of the Seattle GYN Society dues may be deductible for tax purposes as professional or business expenses. The SGS does not participate in lobbying activities or support political action committees.
