Saketh R. Guntupalli, MD

Associate Professor and Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine at Denver.

Dr. Guntupalli is a leading national and international expert in women’s cancer and has lectured all over the world on surgical expertise and molecular mechanisms of cancer. He has authored over 60 clinical papers and has led multiple collaborative research studies focused on improving post-operative surgical outcomes as well as identifying novel therapies for the treatment of ovarian and uterine cancer. Dr. Guntupalli has as an additional expertise in sexual dysfunction broadly in cancer patients, and has authored the book Sex and Cancer which focuses on surviving and thriving—more than 70 percent of women with gynecologic cancers now survive!—and helps readers mitigate outcomes and overcome challenges of sexual dysfunction after a cancer diagnosis.

Through social media, in media interviews and in her New York Times column, Dr. Gunter is critical of dubious health claims made by celebrities, and the careless way that media outlets report on matters such as reproductive health and vaccination. The blog she has been writing since 2011 has reached 15 million views. Jennifer Gunter is a Canadian-American obstetrician-gynecologist, a specialist in women’s health and pain medicine. Come here her talk about her new book: The Vagina Bible.


Stanford University: Director of Clinical Operations, Fertility Specialist: Dr. Ruth Lathi

First lecture: Why should we send miscarriages for chromosome testing? Numerous studies have shown the genetic testing of miscarriage specimens is cost effective and increases patient satisfaction and healing, yet only 10 % of miscarriages are tested nationwide. Come and find out more information on this engaging topic.

Second Lecture: Pregnancy of unknown location, diagnosis & management strategies. Come hear Dr. Lathi explain her successful strategies in working on this complex issue.

The SGS Fall Assembly is a wonderful opportunity to collect your CME credits through our educational workshops and presentations. The SGS has been hosting the Annual Fall Assembly for over 60 years. It is a well attended and popular CME event in the Northwest for OB/GYN doctors.
